F&W’s Strategic Planning Committee has been working over the last few months to establish a vision for the future with a set of measurable goals and objectives to help guide our decision-making process. Together with our community’s feedback, the F&W Board of Trustees will be undertaking the task of developing a vision and set of actionable priorities for Farm & Wilderness over the next five years.
We’re now looking to our community to hear your thoughts and feedback. Over the summer, we will be having a series of forward-looking conversations that will provide many opportunities for members of our community to engage and provide input into the development of a set of priorities for Farm & Wilderness’ five-year strategic plan. Your critical insight for how F&W can continue to grow and lead in a crowded, competitive, and ever-changing environment is essential. Over the summer, you will be receiving communications inviting your participation through a variety of forums including online surveys, in-person & telephone interviews, and small focus groups. Please keep an eye out for these announcements. We ask you to plan to join us for at least one of these opportunities.
The Strategic Planning Committee expects to complete its report by November 2019. The report, including a recommended set of priorities and financial strategies for reaching the goals, will then be presented to F&W’s Board of Trustees for ratification at the January board meeting. Once the Board of Trustees accepts the report, we’ll make it available to the F&W community.
We’ll be in touch and look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming sessions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rebecca Geary at Rebecca@farmandwilderness.org or Thomas Henning at Thomas@farmandwilderness.org.
