On a bright beautiful day in the northern Green Mountains, the Long Trail Questers completed their journey on Vermont’s oldest distance hiking trail. Around the fire that night at Journey’s End shelter, there were many remembrances, from difficulties faced to memories the Questers won’t ever forget.
While the Long Trail Questers were finishing their walk in the woods, the Adirondack Questers finished their climbing section and moved on to their hiking section. The Adirondack Questers are a group of climbers! All the Questers completed a 5.7 climb next to picturesque Roaring Brook Falls.
This next week, the Adirondack Questers finish up their hiking section and return home to Sam Camp for Fair celebrations. The Long Trail Questers are looking forward to meeting the second session Adirondack Questers back at Sam Camp. There are even some rumblings among the Questers of a camp food trail food cookoff between the two groups – we’ll find out at Sam Camp next week.
