Hello again from Flying Cloud:
We’ve just recently seen off our First Session campers. It was a beautiful session. The weather was kind, the kids were loving and curious, the staff supportive and caring. We certainly had a great time adventuring in the woods.
Less than a week ago, we also held the second Naming Ceremony of the summer. There was a blazing fire and a beautiful night. Please join me in welcoming 13 new Flying Clouders into the fold:

We always close out each session with a Friendship Fire, a place where everyone from the community can come together to appreciate each other and Flying Cloud as a whole. When people have a space to share their voice in honor of this community some beautiful sentiments are often shared. Here a some quotes that really stood out for me this year.
Flying Cloud is a part of my childhood, a part of my life. A part I’ll remember wherever I go.
Flying Cloud has provided me a space where my creativity can grow.
Leaving Flying Cloud will leave a hole in my life that I’m not sure I know how to fill.
In the world outside Flying Cloud I felt like I was always wearing a mask. To be someone who I am not. Here, I can be myself.
Coming to Flying Cloud as completely changed my perspective of the world. I want to take that with me to the rest of my life.
And so much more. It’s always heartwarming to hear how eloquently these young men are able to express how important this experience has been for them. It will always be a powerful feeling for me being able to share Flying Cloud with so many.
