Day Four at Indian Brook! - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Pam Podger | June 30, 2014

We’ve had a hubbub of activity at Indian Brook this week — from 122 campers arriving to Hibiscus (the cow) waiting to be milked, one bunny (yet to be named) waiting to be cuddled with, peach pits waiting to be made into pieces of jewelry, the sun waiting to warm us up from a dip in the Woodward Reservoir.

Here are some highlights to share already and it’s only Day Four!

First Lodge created their new chant and shared it with the whole camp during breakfast.  They are certainly a MIGHTY CREW.

Camp is a buzz with trip preparation because both Big Lodge and First Lodge head out today. They are packing their sleeping bags, oars, climbing shoes, and, of course, hoping for more sunshine.

In Work Projects, Big Lodge had a sanding party while singing (more popular) songs and making arches for the garden. First Lodge created more Silent Meeting benches for our mindfulness time each day.

More than 200 “morning glory” muffins have been consumed, while the kitchen apprentices made plenty of kale chips, too!

Creative Arts is happening everywhere at camp. Nesting is occurring in Cozy Lodge, too, with poetic magnet making and sock creature creativity!
