A Blended Chorus - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Pam Podger | May 17, 2014

More than 200 Indian Brook campers will join together this summer to share experiences and form a community that is truly their own. Sixty staff will work hard to create an environment that promotes each person’s expression and connection of mind, body, heart and spirit. The rhythm of our community is created from everyone’s contributions, as they were here last year.

Indian Brook will challenge and inspire you to:

  • Invite curiosity
  • Play in the present
  • Explore new strengths
  • Make connections
  • Find adventure

We may sing, play guitar, use spoons on a friend’s knee, clap our hands, hum along, lead a song, and most importantly LISTEN! Music is a central part of our community; singing before and after meals, clapping in excitement, a steady clobber of a hammer, sweet strumming at Cocoa House (IB’s version of a talent show), a loon’s call in the early morning, water pouring into the pig’s bucket for barn chores, and the beating of one’s heart during a wild game.

Among both the singing and the silence, we grow strong voices full of confidence and character. We welcome you to blend and be a part of our chorus!

Listen to this Wailin’ Jenny’s song and ask WHAT VOICE will I contribute to the Indian Brook community this summer?
