216 Miles Down! - Farm & Wilderness

Our Long Trailers are really on the move!

After climbing over Mount Mansfield, our group grabbed a fresh stash of food and a rest day at Sterling Pond. This break comes after a few hectic days.  After Visiting Day last week, our Questers pushed on with their bellies full and smiles large, to the most demanding section of terrain on their trip.  Since we last saw them, they have hiked over eight mountains, including Camel’s Hump and Mount Mansfield.  Alas, we all had a sad moment when we discovered that the blueberry bushes  covering Camel’s Hump were not quite ripe.

The spirits of our Questers are high however.  They have made many parody songs including Godo Godo (a rework of Black and Yellow), We are Questers (a new take on We are Lumberjacks), and an original piece entitled Here’s a Straw (So you can suck it up).  The group has been performing their songs for anyone on the trail who will listen and are very excited to display their lyrical abilities for all of Farm & Wilderness at Fair.  This week’s resupply marks the last long leg of their journey.  This week holds solos and other Fair preparation.I will be sure to share the details with you. Soon, they’ll be back at our beloved Lake Ninevah.
