We are thrilled to have such a wonderful group of folks to work at the Barn Day Camp this summer.
We have a whopping 22 returning staff at the BDC this summer. Seventeen of these staff were here last summer and five of them took some kind of break, but just could not stay away so they came back for more. Four of these returning staff include those of us running camp from the overall perspective. We have been doing this as a team now for five years. The synergy is solid and we often do our thing without even needing to talk to one another. We have staff from many different parts of the country; Atlanta to New York to Illinois to Ohio to Minnesota to Washington D.C. to North Carolina to Boston and on and on we go. One of the many advantages of having so many returning staff is that many of these staff have been planning all year. They’ve been thinking about activities and games and songs to bring to camp. They’ve been planning the overnight and adventure days they want to take kids on. Staff, much like campers, long for the BDC during the school year, and often are scheming about how they can maneuver working at summer camp for just one more summer. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful people who choose to spend their summer with us. Here is a list of counselors and the groups they will be working with:
