join us this summer!
REGISTERING FOR CAMP?
You Belong With Us!
Registration for Summer 2026 is open!
Welcome! Whether we call it admissions, registration, or enrollment, you've reached the spot for information regarding signing your child/ren up for a Summer at Farm & Wilderness, including our summer calendar, tuition rates and financial aid, which we call campership! You'll also be able to find policies on deposits and cancellations and instructions on registering for camp, using the big "Register" button above!
We strongly encourage any family interested in our camps to learn more about our Campership Program, part of our Affordable for All program. In the same way we only have so many registration spots open for campers, we also have a budgeted amount of Campership to disburse among those who apply for financial aid, so for both securing a spot and applying for campership, we encourage folks to register and complete their forms as soon as they're certain they'd like to have their child/ren spend part of their summer with us at Farm & Wilderness.
Use the buttons below to skip ahead to your preferred topic, and please do not hesitate to contact us via LiveChat, emailing us at admissions@farmandwilderness.org or giving us a call at 802-422-3761.
Session 1 begins on Wednesday, June 24
and ends Thursday, July 16.
Session 2 begins on Sunday, July 19
and ends Sunday, August 9.

First things first- register your camper for this summer using the register button at the top of our website! A deposit is expected to accompany registration and we can adjust deposits to reflect the amount the monthly payment for your family contribution would be. You should recieve a confirmation via email after your child is successfully registered for a session. If you do not recieve this email, please reach out to confirm with us!
Next, complete your camper's health profile in CampDoc. We expect families to complete this information within one month of registration. A registration is complete when you've selected the camp and session(s) for your child/ren, you've made a deposit payment, and the registrations forms in their CampDoc Health Profile are complete. This means all green checkmarks on the sidebar, no red or orange circles! After the first time entering everything, much of the information is saved to review and confirm from year to year, as your child/ren return to camp!
Once a camper's profile is complete, we begin our camper pre-screening process. Multiple Farm & Wilderness staff members review the answers provided and check in with one another as well as campers' families to ensure we all feel as confident as possible that a camper will successfully meet the essential functions of camp. We depend on families being as open as possible with their child/ren's medical and behavioral health information so we can all collaborate on strategies for summer. We take the responsibility of caring for your child/ren very seriously as we prepare to welcome hundreds of campers across our programs! We know child/ren are always changing and growing, so please reach out to us should any information need updating between registration and arrival!
Campership determinations are made starting in mid-January, and then every other week, as necessary, usually concluding by the end of April. Only fully completed and pre-screened camper profiles are passed along to the campership committee to make determinations. If your child/ren's profile has been at 100% complete for over a month and you have not recieved an expected campership determination, please reach out to us directly to check on the status!
We'll start to send emails to all registered families to help prepare for arrival! The primary method of communication used for info is email sent to the user(s) attached to the child/ren's CampDoc account. If someone other than the user on the account is the person bringing your child to or from camp, make sure you're forwarding along this vital information to them!
While you wait, check out our Family Resource Guide, where you can peruse our Handbooks and Packing Lists and other useful info!
Deposit, Payment, & Cancellation Policies
- Payment in full is expected by June 1. You may make payments of any amount at any time between the time of registration and the tuition deadline. You can set up an automated payment plan through our registration system. If you need to set up a more customized plan, please send us an email or give us a call and we'll work on that with you!
- Before June 1, Overnight camp requires a deposit of $500 per child, per session and day camp requires a deposit of $100 per child, per session. We understand this amount of money can be a large amount at one time for a family so we will work with families as needed to pay an alternative amount of money to secure their child/ren’s registrations and initiate a regular payment plan for the remainder of the deposit(s). Alternative deposit amounts are calculated based on what a family's monthly payment is estimated to be via our Campership Transparency in Tution charts.
- After June 1, full tuition is expected upon registration. Families registering after this date will work with admissions on a timeline for their financial aid process, if requested.
- Deposits are non-refundable, unless you are a campership applicant, and even then some restrictions apply. Please reach out with questions!
- During registration and for a period of time before the session start date, families have the option of adding on a third-party trip insurance plan to their camper's registration. This additional trip insurance is intended to cover unforeseen circumstances that would require a family to suddenly need to alter their plans for their camper to attend camp. Coverages may vary and not all coverage is available in all jurisdictions. Insurance coverages are subject to the terms, limitations and exclusions in the plan, including an exclusion for pre-existing conditions. Please visit https://www.campdoc.com/protection-plan/ to read the description of coverage and learn more about what the plan does and does not cover before purchasing.
- Unpaid balances for any and all family members must be reconciled in order for a camper to maintain an upcoming registration.
- Donations made to Farm & Wilderness are not eligible to be applied towards a camper(s) tuition.
- It is not possible to make any tuition reduction or refund for arriving late or leaving early.
- There will be no refund if a camper is asked to leave during the session for an infraction of a camp rule, for disruptive behavior, or if a camper is voluntarily withdrawn.
- Families who set up an automatic bill pay via their financial institution to send checks in the mail save us the most in processing fees. Families who elect to pay online via their bank account using ACH payments are still helping reduce the amount of payment processing fees. Credit cards incur the largest amount of fees, and as such, the fees for a card transaction are added to these payments.
- F&W is unable to refund the processing fees on both payment and reversal if asked to reverse any transactions paid in full at registration, as these fees go directly to the card processing companies.
- Campership families are notified within one month (or sooner!) of completion of their camper's health profile (Doctor Exam form not due until June 1), including the campership form and uploaded documentation, and then have two weeks from that notification to accept the award or withdraw their registration and receive a refund of their deposit and any funds paid towards tuition.
- All campership figures are reviewed after each round of campership determinations and amounts are adjusted to ensure we'll be able to meet requests for campership throughout the year without exceeding our amount of funding. This means that the rates above are subject to updates, and the charts above are updated immediately as rates change. As of mid-April, we start to prepare for Summer and the campership program begins to wind down. Please reach out to us directly to discuss the current options and timeline for campership determinations after that time.
- If a registration for a camper is withdrawn prior to March 1, the session(s) deposits will be retained by Farm & Wilderness or the family may elect to roll over the deposit to the next season’s registration.
-
- For a cancellation prior to March 1, payments made towards tuition in excess of the deposit amount can be rolled over to the next registration season, transferred to another child in their immediate family, converted into a donation to Farm & Wilderness or refunded.
- Registrations and/or any add-ons, such as transportation shuttles, that are canceled between March 1 and June 1 will have their deposits retained by Farm & Wilderness and payments made towards tuition may be rolled over to the next season’s registration, transferred to another child in their immediate family, or converted into a donation to Farm & Wilderness with no option for refund.
- Registrations and/or any add-ons, such as transportation shuttles, that are canceled after June 1 will have their deposits and payments made towards tuition retained by Farm & Wilderness. Funds retained by Farm & Wilderness are not eligible to be transferred into a donation to the Foundation.
- Rolled over deposits are eligible for registration no later than the next calendar year’s season. If a decision is made to rollover monies to the next season and later to not make a new registration, the rolled over funds are retained by Farm & Wilderness and will not be refunded.
