Calendar & Pricing for Summer 2025
2025 Overnight Camp Sessions
Session 1: Wednesday, June 25 - Thursday, July 17
Session 2: Sunday, July 20- Sunday, August 10
Full Summer: June 25-August 10
Campers registered for a full summer of overnight camp at Farm & Wilderness can either spend the changeover weekend in whole or in part with their family, or stay with the select small group of campers & staff for special activities during that time.
Please note that the 2 or more children amount is for families who have registered that number of their own dependent children at a Farm & Wilderness overnight camp program in the same summer, though they may attend different programs and/or sessions. See below for further information regarding the campership process, and please reach out to us for any clarification!
We update the Transparency in Tuition charts each year based on the generous donations from community members through fundraising efforts that we expect to have available, external factors such as inflation, and the annual tuition rates set by our leadership team and Board of Trustees. Therefore, the level of financial assistance we offer for each income level changes year to year.
We review the figures from the previous year’s donations and the outcome of the first round of campership determinations in early January (and perhaps again after future determinations) revisiting estimated family contribution amounts to have the total amount of campership not exceed the amount of funding. This means that the rates above are subject to updates, and we will communicate those immediately.
2025 Barn Day Camp Sessions
Session 1: June 23 - June 27
Session 2: June 30 - July 11
Session 3: July 14 - July 25
Session 4: July 28 - August 8
Barn Day Camp sessions run Monday-Friday 9AM-4PM, with an optional 1-night overnight offered at the end of the second week of our two-week sessions (Sessions 2, 3, and 4). 9 & 10 year old campers can opt into our Hawks/Ravens program, which offers a 2 night overnight trip. Butterflies, our youngest campers aged 4 or 5 and who have not yet attended Kindergarten attend a half-day program, 9am-1pm, and the cost for the half-day program is half the full day program. Session 1, our one-week session is priced at half the cost of a two-week session.
We strongly encourage any family interested in our camps to learn more about our Campership Program, part of our Affordable for All program. Since we've began publishing our transparency in tuition charts, as seen above, and folks share this information with friends and family, we've increased the spread of families across all income levels that we serve. In the same way we only have so many registration spots open for campers, we also have a budgeted amount of Campership to disburse among those who apply for financial aid, so for both securing a spot and applying for campership, we encourage folks to register and complete their forms as soon as they're certain they'd like to have their child spend part of their summer with us at Farm & Wilderness.
Deposits, Payment, and Cancellation Policies:
- Before June 1, Overnight camp requires a deposit of $500 per child, per session and day camp requires a deposit of $100 per child, per session. We understand this amount of money can be a large amount at one time for a family so we will work with families as needed to pay an alternative amount of money to secure their child/ren’s registrations and initiate a regular payment plan for the remainder of the deposit(s).
- After June 1, full tuition is expected upon registration. Families registering after this date will work with admissions on a timeline for their financial aid process, if requested.
- Deposits are non-refundable, unless you are a campership applicant, and even then some restrictions apply. Please reach out with questions!
- Unpaid balances for any and all family members must be reconciled in order for a camper to maintain an upcoming registration.
- It is not possible to make any tuition reduction or refund for arriving late or leaving early.
- Families who set up an automatic bill pay via their financial institution to send checks in the mail save us the most in processing fees. Families who elect to pay online via their bank account using ACH payments are still helping reduce the amount of payment processing fees. Credit cards mean the largest amount of fees charged to us to process payments. Reducing payment processing fees allows Farm & Wilderness to instead redirect that money more meaningfully, such as to purchase program supplies.
To pay only the deposit which is due upon registration, please ensure you select the "Minimum" option below. F&W will retain the processing fees on both payment and reversal if asked to reverse any transactions paid in full at registration.
Cancellations & Refunds:
- Registration cancellations made before March 1st are eligible for a tuition refund less the $500 non-refundable deposit.
- Families are responsible for the full amount of tuition if a cancellation is made after March 1st, as we have already begun to plan for camper arrival! Requests for refunds made after this date will be determined on a case by case basis for cases such as severe illness, injury, family emergency, and may include resolutions such as partial refunds or a rollover of funds to next summer.
- During registration and for a period of time before the session start date, families have the option of adding on a third-party trip insurance plan to their camper's registration. This additional trip insurance is intended to cover unforeseen circumstances that would require a family to suddenly need to alter their plans for their camper to attend camp. Coverages may vary and not all coverage is available in all jurisdictions. Insurance coverages are subject to the terms, limitations and exclusions in the plan, including an exclusion for pre-existing conditions. Please visit https://www.campdoc.com/protection-plan/ to read the description of coverage and learn more about what the plan does and does not cover before purchasing.
- Campership families are notified within one month (or sooner!) of completion of their camper's health profile (Doctor Exam form not due until June 1), including the campership form and uploaded documentation, and then have two weeks from that award notification to accept the award or withdraw their registration and receive a refund of their deposit.
- There will be no refund if a camper is asked to leave during the session for an infraction of a camp rule, for disruptive behavior, or if a camper is voluntarily withdrawn.
Everything you need to know about registering for camp
We are eager to welcome you to Farm & Wilderness! Whether you are new or returning to camp with us, we want to make sure the registration process goes as smoothly as possible for you. In addition, we are always happy to answer any questions or assist you with your camper’s registration. Please don’t hesitate to email us at admissions@farmandwilderness.org or live chat us right here!
1. Before you start
For new families: WELCOME! We are so excited you have chosen to join us for the summer! To register you will need to make a new online account with us. Use the "Register" button above to get started and create your registration account in CampDoc, our registration system!
For returning families: WELCOME BACK! We’re looking forward to seeing you again! You likely have already received an email or two about registration and how to access your online account with us. Please note: if that last time you were registered with us was 2019 or earlier, you will need to create a NEW online account with us through CampDoc. And of course, you can also always use that "Register" button on our website to get started!
2. Let's complete that registration!
Our registration is primarily online. All camp selections, registration forms, and tuition payments can be done through your online account with us. However, if you are unable to complete any part of the registration process, please do not hesitate to email or call us for assistance with non-online options.
Your registration is complete when:
- You have selected a camp session for your camper
- You have made a deposit payment.
- Please reach out to us if you would like to set up a 3 month payment plan for this deposit.
- All registration forms in the Health Profile are completed. This means all green checkmarks on the sidebar of Health Profile sections, no red or orange circles!
- For returning campers, much of this is able to be reviewed and confirmed as still accurate, and updated as needed. It's incredible how much growth and change can happen in a year!
- At any point, you can also reach out to us to update their information, because we know there's changes that can happen between registering for camp and arriving here!
- When a family registers their child/ren for camp in the Fall, they have until December 1 to complete their CampDoc health profile, and this due date remains for everyone as they register throughout the entire year, as we expect folks to complete these profiles within one month of registration. Once a camper profile is completed, we begin our pre-screening process, where multiple members of our staff review all the answers provided and check in with one another as well as campers’ families to ensure we all feel as confident as possible that the campers will be successful at camp in the upcoming summer. Families share medical and behavioral information with our team so that we can collaborate with them to learn what’ve been useful strategies for success previously and to start the conversations necessary for a transfer of a child into our care, a responsibility we take very seriously, as we prepare to welcome hundreds of campers across our programs. Once this process is complete, only then do we forward a campership application to our campership committee to make a campership amount determination and finalize the family contribution.
Confirmation: You should receive a confirmation email once your online process is complete. If you do not see an email within 24 hours and have checked all of your inboxes (including junk mail), please call or email us and we will check on the status of your registration. It's important to confirm our emails are getting to you as early as possible so we know you're getting important updates as we prepare for camp!
3. You have completed your registration! Now what?
YAY! You are now registered for camp at Farm & Wilderness and we cannot wait till summer to see you! Until then, here are some things to keep in mind and ways to stay connected with us until camp begins.
- We will put you on the email list for all summer announcements, updates, and need-to-know information to help you and your camper feel prepared to come to camp. Please be on the lookout for these email communications so that you can stay informed.
- The email address we will use is the one you've designated for your camper's CampDoc account.
- Let us know if you’d like us to add an additional email address to send these announcements to!
- We will double check with the person who is the user on the CampDoc account before adding any additional users to notifications.
- Payment in full is expected by June 1. Please refer to the section above on Campership to learn more about our Financial Aid process.
- You may make payments of any amount at any time between the time of registration and the tuition deadline.
- You can set up an automated payment plan through our registration system. If you need to set up a more customized plan, please send us an email or give us a call and we'll work on that with you!
- Remember that if you are applying for Campership, we do need your camper's health profile to be completed. Campership amounts are determined every other week, so please reach out if it's been over a month since you completed your camper's profile and we can get on track together! Once we hear you've accepted the campership amount and your new adjusted expected family contribution, you'll see that new balance reflected in your CampDoc account.
- Links with the most up to date Family Handbook and packing lists will be sent out by email prior to camp. Until those latest editions are ready, please browse last summer’s Family Handbook and packing lists on our family resource guide to get a sense of how to prepare for the summer.
Take a virtual tour with us!
One of the best ways to see what Farm and Wilderness has to offer is to join us for a tour of our grounds. We are not currently running tours in person, but we are happy to schedule a video call with you and your family!
