Timberlake 80th Anniversary Reunion

Anything is possible at Timberlake! Especially for our 80th Anniversary Reunion!

Has it been 5 years already since our last reunion? Well come on back, or join us this time for an unforgettable weekend. See cabinmates and staff you remember! Sing your favorite songs! Swing an axe again (but watch out for sore muscles…). The new Al Hicks kitchen is open and you’ll enjoy making and eating meals with freshly harvested food from the farm. The lake will be open for swimming and boating, and there may even be a work project (stay tuned!). Bring a friend, bring your family and let them experience a little bit of TL.

Weekend or One Day Meals and Program Activities ONLY cost options are provided to allow flexibility for those staying offsite.

Alumni Reunion Outreach Team Volunteer as a member of the Alumni Reunion Outreach Team. We are looking for several alumni from each decade (50, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s) to help F&W reconnect, invite, register and welcome TL alumni for the Reunion weekend. F&W will help each decade coordinate their efforts. Contact Jen Flaster at [email protected] to participate.

Design the Alumni Reunion T-Shirt We invite TL artists to submit designs that include the following language: Timberlake 80th Alumni Reunion, and September 2019. Purchase your Reunion T-shirt when you register and pick it up when you arrive in September. To submit a design for the Alumni Reunion T-Shirt, please contact Jen Flaster at [email protected]

During the Reunion Once you arrive for the Reunion, we’ll be asking for volunteers to help in the kitchen and on dishes and pots and compost – just like you did when you were a camper or staff! On Saturday and Sunday there will be activities that alumni and family members can choose to participate in. Reunion participants can also use this time to go for a walk or visit with a friend. Just like camp, we will be providing activities which are “camper choice.” In other words, staff and volunteers will announce activities and then ask who wants to participate.

We are excited to offer an online registration process. If you have already registered your child for Summer Camp using this system, then you have a good introduction to the process! If this is your first time using the system, please allow yourself at least 20 to 30 minutes to register. It may take a little more or less, but we don’t want you to be in a rush. Please have your dietary restrictions, emergency contact, t-shirt size and credit card information with you for everyone you are registering.

1. Create an Account If this is your first time registering online to attend a Farm & Wilderness camp or event, you must create an account. Please save the username and password you create as you will use this for all future F&W registrations, whether for camp registration, work weekends, reunions or other events. To create a new account, select the “Create New Account” button on the right side of the page.

2. Be a Camper Again! The online registration system will refer to all participants (adults and children) as “campers.” How delightful that adults get to go “back to camp” and be “campers” for the Reunion Weekend too! You will have the option to add “campers” to the primary registration, so you can register everyone in your party, including yourself, from one account.

3. Add New Program Once you have created your “Camper” profile, click “Add new program” in the Enrollment tab at top right and select from the Reunion options.

4.  Complete the Reunion Registration Form After completing emergency contact and billing contact information, you will be prompted to complete the Reunion Registration Form. This form covers health information, food restrictions and reunion policies. It is here that you will indicate the years you were at TF or SEWOCA as a camper or as staff.

5. Pre-Order Your Reunion T-Shirt After completing the Reunion Registration Form, you can choose to add a reunion t-shirt to your order. Select the sizes and quantities you would like to pre-order on the left, then click the “ADD” button above your selection. Your selection(s) will then appear in the box at the right and will be added to your total registration bill. To be sure we have the right size t-shirt for you, we recommend you pre-order any t-shirts when you register. We don’t order many more than the pre-ordered shirts and they sell out quickly at the reunion.

6. Make Payment From the Main Dashboard, click the “Make Payment” button under the Financial tab (center right) to complete your registration. Once you are in the payment section, you can select all members of your party who will attend the reunion, as long as you have already selected the reunion program for them.

For technical assistance with your online registration, you can contact Jen Flaster at [email protected] or call 802-422-2031.

Participants are ultimately responsible for finding their own transportation to and from Farm & Wilderness for the event.

The Dartmouth Coach (www.dartmouthcoach.com) operates a bus service from Boston South Station, Boston Logan Airport and New York City to Lebanon, NH, which is 50 minutes from F&W. Please contact Jen Flaster at [email protected] or 802-422-2031 if you are interested in a pickup by our free van shuttle. Pickups are scheduled for 4:00PM and 7:00PM from the Lebanon, NH Terminal on Friday and shuttles will depart for the Lebanon Terminal at 8:00AM and 2:00PM on Sunday.

If you would like to coordinate transportation with other alumni to the Reunion by either providing a ride, sharing a ride or renting a vehicle with others, contact Jen Flaster at [email protected]

In the event of an emergency, the Farm & Wilderness answering service can be used to page Melanie Gander at 1-888-622-3276.

There is no cell phone reception at Tamarack Farm. In the “unplugged” spirit of Farm & Wilderness, we strongly recommend that participants leave their laptops and mobile devices at home or store them in your car for the weekend.

We ask that you mark all your clothing and the items you bring so that we know to whom they belong. We will have a lost and found and will do our best to return all found items to their owner, but we cannot guarantee everything will be found. Please note: F&W is not responsible for any items that are lost or that disappear over the weekend.

At Farm & Wilderness we promote a community where everyone can come to leave behind some of the distractions of our everyday lives and gather in the beauty of nature and community. As part of that community, and so that we can work and play together as safely as possible, we ask that you agree to abide by the following guidelines:

General Ground Rules

  1. Be responsible for yourselves; Parents and guardians carry full responsibility for supervising and caring for their children and their guests, even when they have temporarily delegated this responsibility to another person at camp.
  2. Children under 18 must come with their own parents or a chaperone over the age of 21. Chaperones may be responsible for no more than one child who is not a direct family member.
  3. No pets. Please do not even ask. It puts our farm animals, the comfort of others and your pet at risk.
  4. No tobacco, alcohol, drugs or firearms allowed.
  5. No open flame inside any of the buildings.
  6. No electronic games, radios or boom boxes.
  7. Respect quiet hours that begin at 11PM and end at 7AM.
  8. Participate in the community tasks associated with this event including work projects, meal preparation and clean up.
  9. All cabins/overnight sleeping spaces must have a minimum ration of 1 adult to 5 youths.
  10. I have read and agree to the refund policy.
  11. Abide by the waterfront rules as follows:- A certified lifeguard must be on duty to swim at any time at the waterfront.
    – No child should be at the waterfront at any time without a parent or parent-designated adult.
    – Safety vests (PFDs, life jackets) must be WORN by each person in a canoe or boat. A certified lifeguard must be present when people are canoeing.
    – Children under 18 who can swim may only go boating with their parent or parent-designated adult.
    – No diving off docks.
    – All Farm & Wilderness waterfronts (including sauna) are suits-only swimming. Please bring your bathing suit.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone who is 21 years or older. Each chaperone may be responsible for no more than one child in addition to their own children. Please complete a CHAPERONE FORM and return to the main office ahead of time. We ask that chaperones be attentive to the children they are responsible for at all times during the weekend to ensure their safety and well-being. We ask that they know their chaperoned children’s whereabouts and activities throughout the weekend. We recommend that children participate in activities with their chaperone.

All on-site cabins/overnight sleeping spaces must have a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 5 youths. We encourage chaperones to stay in the same cabin/overnight sleeping space as the participant they are chaperoning. Participants under the age of 18 may not leave Farm & Wilderness property without their parent or chaperone. Please speak with the weekend Coordinators if you have any questions. Also let us know if for any reason you are unable to supervise your children during any part of the weekend.

We will be holding the following Alumni Reunion Weekends in the coming years.

If you have any questions, please contact Jen Flaster at [email protected] or 802-422-2031.
