What you need to know about our camps and conservation work
In July 2024, Farm & Wilderness shared its first impact report, Decoding the Magic of Camp: Designing for Self-Efficacy, Community Mindedness, and Identity. Here you can read the report, resources for parents, and our press release. This report and the parent resources are great to share with families considering having their children attend F&W or any camp.
Farm & Wilderness was featured on the Vermont Edition on August 21, 2024, and the topic was "Saying Goodbye to Summer Camp". Or more like see you next summer! Frances McLaughlin, F&W's Executive Director and two other directors of other regional camps shared information and insights about their camps and also took questions from Mikaela Lefrak, the host, and listeners. Ollie Muz, a Timberlake alum and 2024 Lodge Head, joined the show to share his experience.
Frances McLaughlin and Ollie Muz, a Timberlake alum and 2024 Lodge Head, joined Joe and Margery, the co-hosts of 'GBH's news and call-in show, Boston Public Radio Live from the Boston Public Library on August 14, 2024 . The conversation covered a lot of ground, including F&W's values, the what and why of Silent Meeting, a brief history of Fair, how Affordable for All works, and benefits of Family Camp.
In 2022 Farm & Wilderness Conservation partnered with the Conway School to learn more about our conserved lands, and share what we leanred. The result was Resilience at Farm & Wilderness: An Ecological Study.
