Farm & Wilderness offers a full range of employment opportunities; year round, summer staff and seasonal interns for both our farm and maintenance needs.
Year-round Opportunities
Our year-round administrative offices are home to an amazing team of hard-working people who spend all year running the F&W programs and operating the F&W farm and facilities. Occasionally we have Year-Round Job Openings and we seek dedicated, smart and well-rounded team-players.
SUMMER STAFF OPPORTUNITIES
Each year we hire approximately 230 summer positions at Farm & Wilderness. These positions include cabin counselors, camp program staff, lifeguards, drivers, cooks, nurses and nurses’ assistants and other camp support staff. Spend your summer at one of our rustic, simple-living summer camps, where we focus on community, home grown fun and living closely with the natural world. Working at Farm & Wilderness is an exciting learning opportunity for exceptional persons of all backgrounds. Working side-by-side, staff guide campers through fun-filled, adventurous, and educational programs that change people’s lives—campers and staff alike!
SEASONAL INTERNS
In addition to our year-round employees we hire seasonal Interns/Crew to assist in the hard, but rewarding work that is required to maintain our facilities, care for our farms and welcome our guests. F&W offers Seasonal Farm, Facilities and Retreat Internships and Crew positions for people 21 and older who are seeking a more intensive community living and work experience. These work crews began in the early 1970′s simply to insure that the buildings, grounds, animals, and gardens for the F&W summer camps were well maintained, improved and prepared for the following summer. “Crew” has evolved to have its own educational components and an emphasis on community building, leadership training and specific work apprenticeships.
For more information on becoming summer staff or a seasonal intern explore the Staff section of our website or visit Join our Team to complete an application. Applicants should be conscientious, responsible, and community-minded people who value and enjoy working with children.
