Many summer camps are privately owned and operated, but the Farm & Wilderness Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. The Board of Trustees maintains oversight of the programs and finances, and F&W is audited annually.
In addition to camp tuition and program fees, F&W relies on the generous financial support of our entire community – Board (current and past), Visitors’ Circle, staff (year-round and seasonal), alumni (former campers, staff, and program participants), families (current & past), friends, neighbors, corporations, foundations, trusts, and matching gift programs.
Your support is critical to our capacity to provide campership (need-based tuition assistance), hire and train excellent staff, improve and strengthen core programs, and to be good stewards of our facilities and land.
Though summer is our busiest time when we’re operating six camps and serving over 800 campers, we do operate year-round. We run retreats, rent our facilities, feed and care for our animals, and maintain our facilities with the help of our on-site crew interns. All of our educational programs could not continue so smoothly without you.
