Farm & Wilderness offers training programs and workshops for public, open enrollment throughout the non-summer months. Pre-registration is required for all courses.
Wilderness First Responder
The nationally recognized Wilderness First Responder course is offered annually at our Tamarack Farm facility. The certification is facilitated by SOLO, one of the leaders in Wilderness Medicine training. This training is fast becoming a critical certification for people working or hoping to work in the outdoor education industry. The course uses the principles of long-term care, improvised resources and varying environmental conditions as the framework for learning.
2013 Dates: May 29th- June 5th.
All inclusive $825.00 (Includes tuition, all meals and overnight accomodation).
Day students $650.00( includes tuition and lunch)

Forestry
The Game of Logging (GOL) is widely acknowledged as the premier training program in timber harvesting in the country, offering hands-on training in a competitive environment. Top instructors across the country combine demonstrations with participation to teach safety, productivity, conservation and cutting techniques.
Farm & Garden
A series of half-day workshops, facilitated by our skilled farm and gardens staff, are offered throughout the non-summer months. Workshop sessions include food preservation, animal husbandry, cheese making and fiber arts.
