We’ll be celebrating Fair Weekend from Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10, 2013.
Community BBQ DINNER – Friday
Current camper and staff families, alumni, friends and neighbors are invited to attend this event beginning at 6:00 p.m., with a reception, BBQ dinner, and program featuring keynote speaker, Rich Parker.
Rich Parker started as a Timberlake camper in 1966. He has been a TL counselor, a member of the F&W Board of Trustees, a father of four F&W campers and an active supporter of family camp and work weekends. Professionally, Rich is the Chief Medical Officer for the 1800-doctor Beth Israel Deaconess Physician Organization in Boston. He is working on improving systems of health care including behavioral health, end-of-life care, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, emphysema and diabetes.
Fair – Saturday
The Fair is an annual event, an old-time country fair done F&W style, with hand-powered rides, food, games, and concessions made by staff and campers. If this is your first year coming to Fair, you are in for a treat! The camps will be closed this day to all visitors/alumni, since all campers will be at the Fair. All visiting families, alumni and guests will join us on the Fairgrounds. Tentative schedule:

11:00 a.m. Shuttles start from The Notch Ski Resort
11:45 a.m. Parade of Campers nears the Fairgrounds
12:00 p.m. Welcome to Fair and SAM Skit to Open Fair
1:00 p.m. Staff and camper rides, crafts, & concessions
4:00 p.m. Clean-up & visitors move to Soccer Field & BDC
4:30 p.m. Campers and staff are fed
4:30 p.m. Alumni and families bring picnic dinner
5:00 p.m. Contra Dance on the Soccer Field
6:00 p.m. Fair Bonfire lighting ceremony
7:00 p.m. All Campers and staff leave for their camps
8:00 p.m. All visitors depart on last shuttle
After-Fair Party – Saturday
All camper families, alumni, friends and neighbors are invited to an After-FAIR Party beginning at 6:30 p.m.. The F&W Board of Trustees will host the party at Good Commons, 4771 Route 100A, Plymouth VT 05056, phone (802) 672-1859. Finger food and drinks will be provided. If you would like beer or wine, please bring some to share and enjoy (ice for chilling and cups will be provided).
