Farm & Wilderness is an organic farm certified by the Northeast Organic Farming Association. In order to become and remain organically certified, we follow strict guidelines. We maintain careful records and are inspected annually. We use no hormones or antibiotics with the animals, and no herbicides, pesticides, or commercial fertilizers in the gardens. Through careful farm practices, we keep animals and plants healthy and strong so that they have natural resistance to sickness and disease. When illness does arrive, as it inevitably does, we use natural remedies such as homeopathy and herbal concoctions for animals and naturally occurring botanical and biological controls for the gardens. In this way we build a stronger more vital farm organism and provide ourselves with food which can enhance human health.
